And we have some great news that we are announcing today: Our very first award ceremony ever is going to be a part of the SXSW Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas will take place on Friday, March 12th at 8 PM.

I love the idea of the Hive awards … but can we also do a Dive awards, celebrating the worst so that we can try and encourage an end to lowest-common-denominator type of ideas?
We did the ‘smellies’ when cynic first started and it was unbelievably popular, but that was when dinosaurs still roamed the land – so there’s a chance for an award that truly celebrates the good, by also kicking the bad.
Just a thought.
